Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This is for you , baby...I'll love you forever.

This memorial website was created in the memory of our son, Dylan Robert McNeil who was born on May 14, 2007.   Dylan loved life, and always had a beautiful smile on his face.  He loved being outdoors, playing in our family's boat and pretending to waterski.

We knew from day one, that Dylan was going to give us a run for our money.   I went into labor on Mother's Day, a few days earlier then expected.  It wasnt the same as with Ryan, it actually seemed easier, and I remember thinking, this isnt so bad (little did I know what was to come).  I cleaned house and packed to pass the night away, Marcus and Ryan sleeping all snug in their beds.  I woke Marcus at around 4 am, and called my mom, she would be staying with Ryan when the time comes. All of a sudden, labor pains changed and I knew we needed to get to the hospital right away, Dylan was coming. As soon as my mom got to our house, we raced to RVMC. I remember yelling at Marcus to drive faster, and him saying he was going as fast as he could.  We got to the hospital, and immediately, the nurses knew to get us in a room, fast.  No time for that wonderful epidural I was dreaming of.  Dylan came into this world about 30 minutes later. His delivery was so fast, that it stressed his little lungs and he was taken to the NICU to monitor his breathing.

We always joked saying Dylan was going to be our "challenge child".  Three days after my father died in November , 2008, Dylan was admitted to RVMC with his first round with pnuemonia.  Another visit on Christmas Day, and then another stay in February, 2009.  Yet no matter how sick he was, he still always had that beautiful smile on his face.  He still wanted to play with his dirt bikes, airplane or boats in the hospital bed.  Full of life and love no matter where he was or how many IVs and wires were attached.

Dylan left this world on May 13, 2009 from a horrific bacteria called Streptococcus Pnuemoniae or Pneumococcal Meningitis, the day before his second birthday.  I believe that angels are put here on earth, and Dylan was one...is one.  He was always so sweet, caring, happy and full of life. He was a daddy's boy.  He loved torturing the cat.  He was always excited to pick up his big brother from school.  When Ryan was sad, Dylan always found brown dog for him, and  brought Ryan his chocolate milk each morning before school.  He loved his grandmas and grandpas dearly.  He loved to listen to "I'm a little teapot, and 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed". He loved to ride in our Rhino, and on his quad and gator.  He loved to eat cookie dough.  He said hi to everyone, where ever he was, stranger or not.  He loved to look at boat and dirt bike magazines.  He loved life!  We were so blessed to have Dylan. He showed us what is important in life, what life is truly about.

We love and miss you...we will see you again, Stinky D.
